13 Feb 2016 The Right Moment for Life Insurance

The plain and simple answer: sooner rather than later. Many factors will affect the price you’ll be paying annually for your life insurance policy. Your age and health condition tend to be the most heavily weighted factors when it comes to premium pricing.

Life Insurance | MassachusettsSo, what can you do to control your life insurance premium costs throughout your lifetime? The secret’s not really a secret at all.

Start the life insurance ball rolling sooner rather than later. A few years or even a few months (depending upon the person and their situation) can make a huge difference in the annual premium amount you’ll be paying. The younger you are, the better chance you will have at finding an insurance company that will write a longer term policy for a reasonable price.

You can’t predict when health situations will arise, but I think most people would tend to agree that many times age can bring with it health issues. Having a “clean” medical history will better your chances of a lower annual life insurance premium. Medical history is another great reason to apply for life insurance while you’re young and healthy.

Along the same lines of health and medical history; carefully controlling your weight, staying generally healthy and being a nonsmoker are all factors that will potentially keep your life insurance costs lower.
